Orchid EHR

Orchid is a U.S.-based mental health platform providing AI-powered EHR, telehealth, and patient-facing tools for clinicians and practices. Mental health professionals were spending excessive time on documentation and administrative work (often up to hours per patient) on top of already demanding clinical sessions.

I designed the end-to-end EHR and the entire product ecosystem, spanning clinician tools, patient portals, mobile experiences, and browser extensions, with a focus on removing outdated admin patterns and reducing unnecessary steps across the system.

Key Highlight

Clinicians rarely switch platforms, but our one-click migration enabled high stickiness adoption. Providers embraced the platform, reporting reduced fatigue and more personal time. Overall, we cut admin time by 83%, reduced claim errors by 25%, and saved the industry $11B annually. In just 6 months since the launch of AI note-taking, Orchid grew from 1,000 to 2,100+ clinicians (110% increase), further validating provider trust and adoption.

As the sole lead designer, I owned every surface of the product—from the core EHR platform and AI Smart Note-taking to the Chrome extension, mobile and tablet experiences, and both sides of the ecosystem: clinicians and their clients. Beyond the product itself, I also designed supporting assets including landing pages, partnership collateral, and subscription-tier feature sets (EHR + AI, AI-only, and EHR-only).
